Often I’ll look over to find Beau staring up at the clouds or a plane or a bird and I imagine that he is thinking, ‘Boy that would be fun… I wish I could fly…’
Actually, you may be surprised to find out that Beau is a seasoned flier. Having lived on Nantucket Island for the majority of his life. He became quite accustomed to the routine at the Nantucket Airport and the flights to and from the island, but he’d never been on a helicopter. So given the opportunity to take a ride in a helicopter we jumped at it. Beau loved every second! He was completely engaged in looking out the window to see the sailboats and motor yachts below us, and he was awfully cute in his headphones!
What an amazing crew they have BHS! This luxury pet-friendly executive helicopter service flies executives and pet-toting people eager to skip airport hassles to their meetings or vacations on the coast. They only fly within a 325 mile radius of their home base in Baltimore. Beau thoroughly LOVED his first helicopter ride! It also happened to be my first helicopter ride and I can tell you, I thought it would be bumpy and rough but it was delightful and smooth. Be sure to call ahead for your reservation (or email) and get special tips for your pets’ enjoyment.

The Jefferson Hotel, one of the LuxuryPAW Member Properties is a historic, boutique, and uniquely pet-friendly hotel that provides the most modern amenities, excellence and, of course, exceptional personalized service. The concierge also has a full assortment of doggie treats and toys for your pet’s enjoyment. All treats contain only human-grade ingredients and do not have salt, sugar or preservatives of any kind.
For the folks who hold the leash, The Jefferson offers complimentary wireless Internet. Several pet-friendly common areas are available throughout the property; The Book Room, (2) cabinet rooms, The Business Center, and the on-site restaurant, Quill provides pet-friendly patio dining, weather permitting.

This episode of ‘The Pet Show with Dr. Katy’ has Beau and I showing Dr. Katy Nelson, DC Vet and The Pet Show hostess extraordinaire, all around the LuxuryPAW member property, the Westin Tysons Corner. Hmmmmmm, I think Dr. Katy may have taken those sneakers home, she was really liking that whole concept… 
! I know Beau wanted to take the ‘Heavenly Bed’ home, he was pretty difficult to dissuade.

Beau Introduces Dr. Katy to the ONLY Way To Fly!
When Beau and I were recently in Washington, DC we met with Dr. Katy Nelson and her film crew several times to film some of DC’s finest pet-friendly hotels, restaurants and resources for ‘The Pet Show With Dr. Katy’ on ABC’s Channel 8 in DC. This segment above though, was one of our all time favorites…Beau absolutely LOVED his ride in the pet-friendly executive helicopter owned by BHS; Baltimore Helicopter Services (Follow them on Twitter @FLYBHS and Dr. Katy @drkatynelson) …and we’ve decided, (Beau and I) that from now on, this is the only way to fly!

Well we finally had our first real snowfall here in Boston last night and I don’t think you can find anyone more excited about it than Beau!
For all you pups out there who gaze longingly at the children making snow angels with such ease and only wish you could join in the fun, Beau has created the following instructional video to teach you how to make your very own snow (dog) angel. See for yourself! He makes it look so easy doesn’t he?

Join LuxuryPAW In Committing To These New Years Resolutions – No. 1 FreeKibble Everyday!
Because we have so many new members in the LuxuryPAW community, (THANK YOU ALL) I’ve gone into the way-back machine, (How many of you are old enough to actually remember the ‘way-back’ machine?) to recycle a few blog entries that some may have missed. I came across this entry and thought it was the perfect way to begin our list of New Years Resolutions for the LuxuryPaw company and for me personally, so here we go with a new resolution every day from now until New Year’s Eve.
No. 1 FreeKibble Everyday! What’s that you ask? Read all about this amazing young woman and how you can help to feed shelter pets everyday. When I wrote this original POSTMimi had an impressive number of meals served…flash forward and as of December 16, 2012 according to the totals page on her website she had provided 1,580,808,580 meals to shelter pets all across the country with the help of HALO and people who FreeKibble.
I resolve to FreeKibble every day of 2013…will you? How about your Boy Scout/Girl Scout Troop, Your elementary computer class…what a great reason to log-on every day, or even just once a week, how can you take your ten pieces of kibble and multiply them to help shelter pets????? We’d love to hear about it!!
