I thought that the piece about the cocoa mulch is a great tip because in our travels Beau and I have found that many high-end properties use this mulch precisely because it is so lovely…to smell – less lovely for pups to munch).

Great article in the Chicago Tribune about the pet-friendliness of Chicago. When Beau and I were there it was more pet-friendly in ways that I didn’t expect; pets were allowed on the on and off bus tours of the city, but less pet-friendly in other ways than other cities; Beau was not allowed in any of the retail shops that we had been able to go into in NY, MA, CA. It’s nice to hear that the pet-friendly dining scene is getting a little easier too, that was difficult when we were there. One thing though that was great was the sheer number of gorgeous pet-friendly hotels…
