Some GREAT suggestions from Thundershirt for the upcoming Fourth! Beau has one that we use whenever the woman downstairs does her laundry…for whatever reason, I can run my washer/dryer and it’s not a problem for him…The neighbor downstairs turns on her machine, (the same model/make everything) and poor Beau begins to freak out…my big dog becomes a 65 pound lap-dog…He can not get close enough to me and is almost inconsolable. The Thundershirt helps tremendously. He is still clingy, but he is visibly calmer. They sell these at most major pet retailers, so if you’re the least bit concerned about the upcoming fireworks you should be able to find one before the Fourth. I also find it helpful to use it preventativly, if I can anticipate his discomfort and get him into his Thundershirt before he gets all worked up, he tends to not react so strongly. It’s much harder to calm him down once he gets scared, than it is to avoid it all together,(for Beau anyway). Enjoy the festivities! xo, Janine & Beau
